Now you can enjoy gourmet coffee, espresso and cappuccino at home or in
the office. The new opal from Schaerer gives you push button convenience
like the big commercial machines.
From whole beans to the finished product by a touch of a button. The
machine will automatically grind whole beans, compress the grinds, brew one or two cups
and discharge the used grinds into a container.

All brewing parameters such as temperature, water dosage and amount of
grinds can be programmed for each of the 4 product buttons. The opal also
features pre-infusion for optimum extraction and the perfect crema (gold coloured froth).
This is the only super automatic espresso machine in its class that features an
independent steam boiler. This means you can steam milk while an espresso is being brewed! |

| Built-In Grinder
The high precision grinder is extremely quiet. The grinder can be adjusted to suit your
needs. The bean hopper holds 300 grams of whole beans. An indicator light will signal when
the hopper is empty. |

| Pre-Ground Funnel
Use this funnel to add any additional pre-ground coffee flavor, for example
decaffeinated coffee. The included measuring scoop ensures the correct amount of coffee is
inserted. |

| Cup Warmer
The top plate is used as cup warmer. Store cups here to ensure the espresso cups are
always warm, resulting in a hot cup of espresso. |

| Discharge Container
The used grounds are automatically discharged into the container. It is easily accessible
from the front for emptying and cleaning. An indicator light will signal when the
container is full. |

| Built-In Water Tank
The 2.4 Liter built-in water tank is conveniently located at the front for easy filling.

| Cappuccino Power
The Opal is the only machine in it's price class, capable of simultaneously frothing milk

Steam for frothing milk is dispensed through the steam wand by turning the steam selection
